About the Founder
Iftekhar Noor Shaon is a Poet and Designer from Sreemangal, Bangladesh, now based in Paris. His approach began with words. In his work poetry becomes a way of understanding the world, and fashion becomes a way of carrying that understanding.
He founded One Thousand Poets with the intention of building a universe — a quiet, expansive world where different forms of art come together through the language of fashion, with poetry at its center. The studio is an ongoing exploration of how sensations can move through fabric, and how personal and traditional histories can be carried on the body through a garment.
Iftekhar has showcased his work in both Bangladesh and France, creating pieces that circle around themes of belonging and inner landscapes. In his practice, he merges poetry and fashion as a single gesture — allowing one to shape the other until they become inseparable, forming one singular language.
Based in Paris, Noor continues to expand One Thousand Poets internationally with the aim of putting Bangladesh on the map of global high fashion and building a collective universe of poems, garments, and stories that live far beyond the surface.
